Hi Robin (OGuestBlogger!)....ya know, I told Karyn that my caption was going to say "unPhotoshopped" sky, and she said "Just leave it alone, it's fine how you wrote it." But it's soooo stunning that it does (but isn't) touched at all! In fact, I took it with my iPhone, not even my digital camera. Happy Holidays to you!
Ann...ain't it the truth! I think the "solace" factor is what draws me to the natural wonder of weather and skies. 'Course I haven't seen Australia and New Zealand, yet, but it's on the agenda someday. Happy weekend!
The December surprise may be delayed, and possibly cancelled, but I'll tell you what it was. I was thinking of doing a special political blog. After the Prop 8 disappointment, Karyn got on youtube and single-handedly fought off all the posters who were calling us names...none of them nice, under her junkforkaryn handle. But, after the initial fury of planning such a blog, and even doing a couple bits for it, I realized the time commitment it would take, so I've pretty much decided against it. Reason? I've got enough on my writing plate with the book. The remaining question is do I want to post the articles I've already written in a sidebar placed here? Maybe, but, not sure I want a lot of nut jobs posting here, and some of my articles could bring them. This is pretty much for friends and family, weather and other wonders, with the occasional book review, mild rant, etc. I’m still mulling things over. So, for now, the big December surprise is that there isn’t one! LOL. Sorry.

Both beautiful and foreboding!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving--be safe, stay happy!
Happy Thanksgiving, y'all. It almost looks like you Photoshopped the sky.
I take great solace in the wonder of natural beauty. It reminds me that man can only ruin so much.
